Secutech to be deferred to April 2022

27 May 2021

Due to a recent wave of COVID-19 cases across Taiwan, the organiser of Secutech, the leading trade fair for the safety and security industry in the region, has announced the deferral of the upcoming 23rd edition. Previously scheduled to be held in July 2021, the fair will instead take place during the new timeslot of April 2022. In the meantime, the fair’s new online business matching platform will also be rescheduled, and will now go online from 7 July – 6 August 2021 to facilitate trade between suppliers and local and international trade buyers.

In response to COVID-19 outbreaks across Taiwan, the local government recently raised its coronavirus alert system to level 3 out of 4. In light of this, the decision to defer the physical trade fair has been made both to support the government’s virus control efforts, and to safeguard the health and safety of participants.

Ms Regina Tsai, General Manager, Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd – Taiwan Branch Office says: “Above all else, the safety of our participants is our top priority. Although we are disappointed to be unable to return to the fairground this July, there remains a lot to be optimistic about. With more people getting vaccinated, we are hopeful that Taiwan’s international border will reopen next year so that exhibitors and visitors can enjoy a more productive and international trade fair experience in 2022. In the interim, we have channelled plenty of resources towards Secutech’s online business matching platform, which will help exhibitors, and particularly Taiwanese manufacturers, stay connected with local and international buyers.”

Running from 7 July – 6 August 2021, the online platform allows trade buyers to book video meetings, negotiate, and explore new business opportunities with leading international and Taiwanese suppliers for security, mobility, smart building and fire & safety solutions.

The 23rd edition of Secutech will take place from 27 – 29 April 2022 at the Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center. Secutech is organised by Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd - Taiwan Branch Office and is part of a global network of Safety Security and Fire trade fairs. For more details, please visit www.secutech.com.
